Convieniently...

So it’s pretty crazy that a few days after I start my blog that I get a ton of different things to talk about. Wow, I just realized that makes my life seem incredibly lame that I just now have something worth talking about. Let me just say that I ALWAYS have something interesting going on...or maybe I’m just saying that to make myself feel better. Anyways, back on subject...a lot of things have been going on and its cool now that I've got some place to rant/discuss/question them. So I hope there someone out there, if so, here goes:

-Freakin' Tennessee got ROCKED last night...by KENTUCKY..in OUR PLACE. And Jodie Meeks, who might I add averaged a whopping 8 pts. a game last season, scored FIFTY FOUR. Yes I didn’t mistype that; I did say 54 points, by himself, alone. That is unacceptable if you ask me. I’ve come to realization that this Tennessee basketball team will not be as successful as last year’s while having more talent. Last year’s team had more fight, more pride, and more chemistry, and having Chris Lofton doesn’t hurt.

-Speaking of UT, that reminds me that we are in the heat of the recruiting season as NSD (National Signing Day) gets ever closer (Feb. 4). And for all you noobs who don’t know what that is, it’s the day most of the High School seniors announce where they are going to provide their football services, or as some like to call it...school. Anyway, UT has quite a bit of high caliber recruits visiting throughout Jan. and a lot of them have UT high on their list. This is just as huge as the new coach hiring was in the sense that we need to get people in here that can make an immediate impact so we can get this mediocre program back to way it was in the 90's: DOMINANT. So I’m pumped about that. We can ride a good recruiting class into spring practice and ride that all summer to fall workouts, and hopefully lead us up to a more successful season that last. (More in-depth posts about this subject to come later.)

-Now on to the other favorite subject: LOST. Season 5 is approaching ever so quickly and honestly, I couldn’t be more excited. Knowing we are down to the last 34 episodes is bitter-sweet, but for right now..it’s mostly sweet. There is so much going on, so much to be explained, and so many more things to discover. I can’t believe how invested I am in these characters and the goings on of the show as a whole. Shows how gifted the writers, producers, film crew, editors, and the actors themselves are. Never once have I been more enthralled by a piece of media than I am this show. So yea, now that I have completely geeked out over LOST, I get back to the normal world. Season starts next Wed. (a week from today) and if you haven’t watched or aren’t caught up, I suggest you do so. You won’t regret it. (More in-depth posts about this subject to come, also.)

-Finally I would like to break off from what I said I would mostly talk about, and get a little more serious. As a matter of fact, I will definitely start adding more about this topic throughout this blog, because it’s pretty important. I won’t go into the details of how it all got started (but I will later, I promise) but let’s just say God works in mysterious ways, and knows EXACTLY what He is doing.

So I started watching this preacher from Anderson, SC who’s messages are all available online (NewSpring.cc) and to be short with it, I was mind blown. I wish I was able to describe the situation in detail with words, but it’s almost unreal (lol, D). Let’s just say that I have had a lot of negative influences on me (not people, but habits and sins) for a long time. I would like to go into detail and discuss them here, but this is a public blog, and I have no idea who’s reading it. But if you would like to talk to me about it, which I wouldn’t mind at all, as a matter of fact it would probably help, then just contact me in person.

Anyways, these messages seemed to be exactly what I needed. Never have I had the Word presented to me in this way and never had I been THIS convicted. It was insane, I literally started crying (yea I know...whatever) after one of the sermons, and I actually prayed...begged God to forgive me as the invitation was going on during the filmed service. It was crazy, the last time I had felt this way after talking to God was when I was saved, which was almost 7 years ago. It was incredible and now I fully believe I am a new person after FULLY and COMPLETELY giving my sins and my life to God and recommitting myself to lead a Christ-like life. It’s so...I don’t know, awesome. You know that feeling you get when your team just won that pivotal game to get themselves into the playoffs, or when that one guy/girl finally says "alright we can go out sometime, just let me know when," that feeling of excitement. Its palpable, its energetic, but you have no idea what to expect, and even so it isn’t scary, because you KNOW your teams going win it all, and you KNOW he/she is going to enjoy the date. That confidence is irreplaceable, that my God has me in his control, and is taking me where I belong, and has COMPLETELY forgotten about my sins.

I honestly feel like a brand new person, and Ill probably act like it. I know I owe a lot of people an apology, and I have said/done things I feel terrible about, but that was the old me. The new me is rejuvenated, and ready to serve. So if I randomly give you a compliment, or if I do something unexpected, then don’t worry, I'm not being weird, it’s just the new me!

So, to conclude, I’d like to thank you all for reading this monstrosity of a post, if you did. And that each of these three topics will be the core of my blog, and will each get singular posts. So how could you not enjoy this blog, it’s got everything!

(Same goes for this post, spelling/syntax errors? So what…lol)

Have a great day everyone and remember...

You can either let today happen to you...or you can SEIZE IT!

This Looks Fun...

So what’s up everyone? I decided that my life was not exciting enough as it is so I thought I would give it a bit of an upgrade and start a blog. Couple of friends have'em and I thought it looked fun so if you’re reading this, then thank you for being somewhat interested in my life.

I’ll keep this short, because no one likes those long boring opening posts about their hobbies, what the blog is going to be about and whatnot... But for real, my hobbies are pretty much like those of any of yours. However, besides the everyday goings on of my life, this blog will be about 2 of my favorite subjects: Sports (specifically UT football and basketball), and LOST, which if you don’t know by now, it's pretty much the greatest show ever created. End. Of. Discussion, haha...but anyways yea..

If anything else incredibly awesome happens, which it pretty much definitely will, then I’m sure I’ll drop a line or two about it in here as well.

So that’s it..thanks and get outa here! Nah but for real...there’s nothing else here, you should probably leave..

-by the way, as much as I like to think otherwise, I’m not the best at grammar and/or syntax, so if you spot an error...kindly keep it to yourself... ;) but I'll try to keep them to a minimum..
